Support An Orphan

Largely because of the HIV/AIDS pandemic taking the lives of the adult generation in
Africa, a staggering number of children are literally left to exist and fend for
themselves on the streets. The Orphan Sponsorship
Program was created to identify orphans and place them in willing families that
will provide love, direction, care, and guidance. The program will subsidize the basic
costs the guardian family would incur to raise the child.
Support A Nurse
$125 per month
There is trained medical help in the area and there are places for them to work, however, there is not
sufficient revenue generated to pay them because most local people can not afford to pay for any
treatment they get and medical insurance is non existent. Only $125 a month supplies the salary for a
nurse. You can give a one time gift in any amount or pledge ongoing support.
Support a Social Worker in the Orphan Program
$200 per month
The economies of third world countries are very different from ours. Dedicated social
workers regularly work for months without pay. They continue because it is also difficult to find
any work that pays. Children are the future
of the world and education is key if positive change is going to happen in Kenya.

idea; make a donation in honor of your special recipient. We will send them a lovely gift

For about the price of a $15 CD:
Provide two school uniforms that are required for a child to attend school.
For about the price of a $50 dinner and movie:
Desks for school children who otherwise sit on dirt floors.
For about the price of a $200 iPod Nano:
Provide medicine to treat an entire village for malaria and worms.
Your entire donation, 100%, goes directly to funding projects. We are able to
do this because we are very mindful of being good stewards of what is given to OWI.
OWI only requires a small operating budget that is funded by pledges from members.
All OWI members are volunteers.
