Just prior to our trip to Kenya, we were informed of 140 of the poorest families in these rural villages who had lost their crops due to bad weather. They literally had no food to eat! But, thanks to the generous people of Orange County, we were able to purchase enough maize and beans for all these families to last for three months, when new crops were expected to ripen.

The local government official (DEO) of the Kiminini Division and the Chief were at hand in the village of Big Tree to take part in this occasion.
