ESL Training Project

ESL Report 2006
A total of 15 women were shown the overview of the PASSPORT TO THE WORLD
OF ENGLISH program that teaches English as a Second Language to people
all over the world. Our six sisters from the church at Kiminini took on
the major responsibility for continuing the training after we left.
The initial program is 15 lessons intended for those who do not speak English at all. It is based on learning conversation and intonation. It included a DVD Training Program. We also left material for further study if that is desired: Spelling and Grammar, Reading and Writing and a Self-Study of the New Testament Book of Luke. All lessons use the Bible in the “Activity” or “Things to Think About” portion of lessons.
I feel confident that the 15 women, representing many churches, will be able to carry on the program. Reggie Mantei and Denise Fetter facilitated the training.
