To me the biggest fruit of the trip was the unity found among pastors from different denominations. I had suggested to Pastor Shadrack about a year ago that pastors in the area should unite in producing the crusade that we had planned for this year and maybe that co-operation would then lead into other projects like attacking the giants. My prayers were answered. More than 30 pastors worked together for the week long crusade held at the Kiminini Market. Hundreds accepted Christ! Now, they are planning to have a monthly Pastors' Fellowship meeting to discuss the orphan issues and community development issues. In fact, they were asking us to teach them about community development and leadership. Milele (see trip report at www.milele.com) performed at the crusade Praise Event and at the church. They brought with them the biggest Christian reggae artist in Kenya, Rufftone, and the Kenyan "grammy" winner Neema. The crowd was soooo excited; they knew their songs, they knew their celebrities! It was awesome to see thousands of Kenyans sing and dance to their music and praise God for all He had done. What a wonderful conclusion of the crusade week! The crusade team included special guest speakers from Tanzania and Uganda. Both of them invited us to do our seminars and conferences in their areas. Of course, our preacher friend from Nairobi was with us as well, as she has been every year. She is one of us, as are the six Kiminini ladies, our hosts for three years. We are one in Christ.
